Student
Process
1.Gather
your partners together. Decide which topic each of you will be researching.
Choose from:
*Art and Culture
*Government and Economics
*Daily Life
2. After one full day of research, decide which topic you have the most information
on. Use this for your feature article.
3. Keep your research organized. Have separate areas for each of
the sub-topics. This way, if you come across information for a partner’s
topic, it will be clearly labeled and you can share it with them.
4. Record daily logs of your progress. At the conclusion of each
day of research, all partners must initial next to the other students’ names
to agree that they contributed fully that day. You must have the
initials of all partners
to receive all five points. This log will be kept by the teacher.
5. On day one of computer lab, you will use the Microsoft Word format to
layout your magazine. Once the layout is set, you may begin writing your
information.
6. Once your written information is done, you may work on your cover. This
should be done by day four.
7. Your last day in the computer lab should be used to add your pictures,
charts, or graphics. Your final copy of the magazine will be printed out.
Have one copy for each partner, plus one for the teacher.
